patient in the ambulance was being dropped off at home...and not taken to the hospital. we're told the driver that sparked the crash did not have a valid license. no arrests have been made as police continue to investigate. a protest is scheduled for today in honor of sylville smith... this as the police officer who killed him makes his first appearance in court on unrelated charges. angelica joins us from the newsroom with the details. a protest demanding justice for the shooting of sylville smith will take place today. demonstrators plan to walk from 23rd and wisconsin to the district attorn as zombies. smith was shot and killed by a milwaukee police officer in august. and that suspended milwaukee police officer who shot smith-- will go to trial on separate sexual assault charges. dominique heaggan-brown waived his preliminary hearing yesterday. he has not been charged in the sylville smith case. prosecutors say he sexually assaulted a man just one day after the shooting in august. smith's family members say the sexual assault case should be tied to his
scheduled for november 4. kim and jessob. back to you. the man convicted of going on a drug- fueled naked rampage in waukesha county will learn his fate today. police say this video shows leif erickson ramming his pick-up truck through a parking lot fence and right into two squad cars. then they say he led them on a chase. eventually erickson got out of his truck-- completely naked. we're told he tested positive for a synthetic drug similar to l-s-d. his sentencing is schedule this afternoon. a felon, sentenced for killing children, did not go quietly to prison. from swearing, to rapping, to insulting the judge and victim's family-- michael morgan kept the bailiffs busy yesterday. we can only show you bits and pieces of his disruptive behavior, because there was so much. nats from court morgan was convicted of arson
36th and silver spring. the fire killed his estranged wife's son kevin little and the boy's two year old cousin taenajah morgan. in court yesterday-- morgan ordered the judge to tell him his sentence quickly. talk the numbers so i can get back up to my cell ok i'm getting there f man, you don't give a f about us man. we black man. you'd hang us man i didn't bring you into this courtroom. what the f man lets go so you can put that white sheet over your head responders did an incredible job in trying to talk them numbers!! eventually the judge sentenced morgan to 71 years he was also ordered to pay around four thousand dollars for the funerals of the children. charges are filed against the man accused in a crash that killed three women. 23-year-old jasen randhawa faces 12 felony counts related to the crash
we learn that data recovered from the lexus he was driving shows randhawa was going 63 miles per hour just before impact. he appeared in court yesterday -- his bail was set at 1-million dollars. three women from chicago were killed in the crash. and their uber driver was seriously hurt in the crash. randhawa was driving with a revoked license from a previous o-w-i conviction. hes due back in court in two weeks. an m-p-s security guard is accused of sexually assaulting a student. michael robinson began texting with the student in september before bringing the 17-year-old student to his apartment where they had sex. one teen is being credited for helping unravel the alleged crime, by dong the right thing, and letting school leaders know. his mom says she hopes other kids in similar situations know it's o-k to go to an adult. they should be rewarded and praised so they can keep coming
was allowed in the school in the first place. he is facing unrelated charges for gun possession and dealing drugs. m-p-s has placed robinson on unpaid leave. it has been a very violent week in milwaukee. since sunday, eight people have been killed. one victim was remembered last night. 23-year-old quamari carr was killed near 11th and wright on monday. this comes as city leaders spar over ways to end the violence. carr's family says they want to see solutions and for the violence in the city stop. give it to god. let something else be in place of these guns. one man has been taken into custody for carr's murder. following the violent week-- the milwaukee common council "public safety committee" meets this morning to discuss budget amendments focused on safety and police spending.. one alderman feels more police officers on the streets is the answer. but the mayor says...there's no

"amtrak" will pay 265- million dollars to settle claims over this deadly philadelphia train crash. eight people were killed. amtrak train torpedoed into a sharp curve. lawyers are calling it the largest settlement ever reached in a u-s rail disaster. a federal investigation found the conductor was distracted. amtrak declined to comment. attorneys say victims will be granted hearings in court. it will then be up to a federal judge to approve recommendations on awards. president obama -- granting commutations to 98 federal inmates --

newsroom with the latest. that lawsuit claims usa gymnastics and some of its top officials, enabled a team doctor to sexually abuse gymnasts. according to the indy-star....more than 30 people have come forward to accuse long-time u-s-a gymnastics doctor larry nassar of sexual abuse. according to the lawsuit....the unamed gymnast says usa gymnastics and coaches bela and martha karolyi turned a blind eye to nassar's abuse. the suit claims they concealed sexual and physical abuses at their elite nassar... who served as usa gymnastics' team physician during four olympic games, has not been criminally charged. he left his position with usa gymnastics last fall . the man who hacked nude photos of jennifer lawrence and other female celebrities has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison, as part of a plea deal. ryan collins pleaded guilty in march to violating the computer fraud and abuse act. singer ariana grande, actress gabrielle union, and model-actress kate upton were also among his victims. rob and
